Hi, everyone:
Over Labor Day weekend, my husband and I hiked in Grand Teton National Park. It's amazing. One of my favorite National Parks! We hiked the Surprise and Amphitheater Lakes trail. Bear spray is a must. The temperatures were great, sun was shining. Once we passed the fork in the trail where all of the rock climbers went the other way, it was very peaceful. About 3 1/2 hours to hike to the top, an hour to explore and then about 1 1/2 hours to descend.
Good gear that you know well is critical for comfort, health, safety and a positive experience. Here's a video of my gear for this hike.
I made a Pinterest board of my favorite gear.
Do you use hiking poles? If so, do you use them for every hike?
What are your favorite gear brands?
Happy Trails, friends.
